Wyre Forest sandstone & soil structure
Kidderminster geology is defined by the Wyre Forest sandstones, river terrace gravels, and free-draining sandy loams across DY10, DY11, and DY12. While sandy sub-soils offer superior natural drainage compared to clay belt towns, sand-dominant ground is susceptible to subsurface wash-out and edge spreading under vehicular loads.
We install heavy-duty concrete pin kerbs bedded on a full C20 concrete haunching foundation to lock block paving and resin driveways firmly in position without risk of lateral displacement.
